Michael was for nearly a decade the Reviews and Features Editor of Empire magazine. It was a pretty sweet gig. He was also a regular contributor to Rolling Stone, Men’s Style, YEN, and his writing has also appeared in Interview, The Herald Sun, The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Big Issue, and at news.com.au, rottentomatoes.com and movieline.com. From 2016 to 2018 he was the editor of Australian Author, the magazine of the Australian Society of Authors.
